ON THE BEACH III, Studio News & Summer at BIG PICTURE GALLERY
I am very excited to be in the process of releasing a brand-new piece as we speak:
ON THE BEACH III

I took this photograph on Brancaster Beach in July 2023 shortly after we arrived in Norfolk after living in Spain. It was incredibly exciting to be in this dramatic weather – the sky was navy blue as a very threatening storm was edging in from the North West. The wind was blowing hard, causing our ankles to be sandblasted and the few people who were holding out on the beach were fully committed (me included!). I was determined to get this photo of this solo walker with her black labrador, and I managed to get a few more...
The predecessor to this piece, ON THE BEACH II which I released last year was taken at the same time. Here, 4 young cricketers were battling the elements to continue play, hair and clothes akimbo – but where was the ball?
In JULY, AUGUST & SEPTEMBER I am committed to being in the studio on my usual days of the week: Fridays and Saturdays: 1030-1630 and/or at other times by arrangement. I do have one trip to the Dolomites in Italy arranged late July/early August, camera in hand, but apart from that, I am in the studio for my cherished visitors, both loyal and new. A warm welcome always awaits.
My main work in the studio at the moment is to work on new works to take with me to the UK art fairs from November until March. My 2026 collection is called LOOKING FOR LIGHT and I am continuing to release related pieces. It is always good to pop in and see me, just in case a new release has just arrived and you might get an early sneak peak before I manage to broadcast news of it on Instagram or to my cherished mailing list.
Did you know that my studio/gallery is also my OUTLET STORE? As I travel to shows with bodies of work, I always offer them on return from shows at a discount, as they have been handled and hung elsewhere. I also sometimes make mistakes in my printing processes and offer these pieces at vastly reduced prices. This can be a great opportunity to buy a wonderful, sometimes very large, high quality fine art photography art piece for a song! Always worth popping in to see what the latest deal in the gallery is.

I now have a total of 7 moon related works, building this collection slowly but surely.
